News Updates for Licensees
- 2/6/26: The proposed update to the Illinois Elevator Safety Administrative Rules, which was proposed on March 28, 2025, has been withdrawn. Therefore, the new codes are not effective at this time. Please continue to use and submit the current inspection forms. For more information, please click here.
- 12/5/25: Updated inspection forms (Elevator Inspection Form and Platform & Stairway Lift Inspection Form) were approved by the Elevator Safety Review Board for use upon the effective date of the adoption of the ASME A17.1 2022 edition (estimated January 1, 2026). Notification will be provided when the rules are adopted and use of the updated inspection forms is required.
