2026 State of Illinois Community Risk Reduction Conference
The 2026 Illinois Community Risk Reduction (CRR) Conference is expanding to two days this year, offering even more opportunities to learn, collaborate, and strengthen community risk reduction efforts across Illinois.
Hosted by the Illinois Fire Service Institute (IFSI) in Champaign, this year's conference will showcase Illinois-based expertise, successful programs, and resources designed to help departments and communities enhance or jumpstart their CRR initiatives.
The conference will feature Marsha Geisler, widely recognized as the "Godmother of Community Risk Reduction" in Illinois, as the keynote speaker. With decades of experience in fire prevention education and community risk reduction, Geisler has played a pivotal role in advancing CRR throughout the state and continues to be a leading voice in the field.
This conference is free to attend for all registered participants. Attendees are also invited to a networking reception following the Day 1 presentations at IFSI. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided on Day 2.
Registration is now open. Reserve your seat today by scanning the QR code on the conference flyer or by registering online at https://form.jotform.com/ILFireSafety/IL-CRR-Conference.
We look forward to welcoming fire service professionals, public educators, and community partners from across Illinois this September.
